Also included in new complex will be new food and beverage options - including a full-service bar -expanded banquet capacity and a state-of-the art smoke evacuation system. In addition to expanding the gaming floor to accommodate up to 1,500 slot machines - up from over 1,000 at the old casino - the 16-acre resort will include a 120,000-square-foot, 150-room hotel on Northeast 33rd Avenue in Tulalip, northwest of Everett. The Tulalip Tribes broke ground on the new Quil Ceda Creek Casino Hotel - or QCC2, as its being called by some in tribal leadership - in December, with an expected opening by spring 2019. Construction is underway on a new $140 million resort that will replace one of the state's oldest gaming establishments.
